About Dr. Kuntz

Clara Kuntz, PhD (she/her)
New York State Licensed Psychologist

I work with adults across New York State, offering thoughtful and compassionate support to those seeking meaningful, lasting change. My approach is grounded in respect, clarity, and genuine care. I believe growth happens in a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered.

I am deeply committed to integrating evidence-based practices with practical, approachable insights that strengthen your mental well-being. Staying current with the latest scientific research and clinical advancements is an essential part of my work. I continuously engage with high-quality, up-to-date information to ensure the care I provide reflects best practices and evolving knowledge in the field.

My academic foundation reflects both depth and breadth of training. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with minors in Gerontology, Statistics, Sociology, and Social Sciences, and completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Counseling/School Psychology through an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited program. During my doctoral training, I also completed an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistical Analysis, strengthening my ability to thoughtfully evaluate and apply emerging research in meaningful, practical ways.

My work is guided by both science and humanity — blending evidence-informed care with genuine connection — to support sustainable growth and lasting change.
